PARKSVILLE – The dove is the bird of peace and tie that into the ultimate concert event of all times – Woodstock – held in Bethel in 1969, and the Sullivan Catskills Dove Trail was hatched in recent years by the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association.

The latest dove, at Arthur’s Acres Animal Sanctuary in Parksville, was introduced to the world on Wednesday by artist Allison Luci.

There are over 60 hand painted doves created by local artists.

The collection of dove sculptures is perched in villages, towns and at several tourism businesses to commemorate the concert event renowned around the world.
