Mayor Noble announces 53rd annual Children’s Day Parade

KINGSTON- Mayor Steven T. Noble and the City of Kingston Parks and Recreation Department are pleased to announce the 53rd Annual Children’s Day Parade will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023.  The theme this year is “Out of This World.”

Registration for participation in the Children’s Day Parade is now open at https://kingston-ny.gov/childrensdayparade

“We are so thrilled to once again host the Children’s Day Parade, a beloved Kingston tradition that so many families look forward to every year,” said Mayor Noble.

Lynsey Timbrouck, Director of Parks and Recreation said, “The Parks and Recreation Department is excited to bring back the Children’s Day Parade for our community!  We hope all participants enjoy designing their floats with our theme of ‘Out of this World’ and look forward to seeing the creative concepts that everyone comes up with.”

The parade will step off of Pine Grove Avenue onto Broadway at 6:00 p.m.  The parade will proceed up Broadway and onto Albany Avenue, make a right turn onto Clinton Avenue and then another right turn onto Westbrook Lane. Floats and units will then continue down Westbrook Lane, pass the Herzog’s lumberyard, and will take the next left towards the back of Herzog’s store.
