Town of Fallsburg honors outstanding community members with Key to the Town

FALLSBURG- The Town of Fallsburg is proud to announce the recipients of the prestigious Key to the Town in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the community.  This honor is bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication towards making Fallsburg a better place for its residents.

Cookie Cross, Melinda Seymour, Maggie Sanford, Mary Adams, Felicite Katz, Lionel White, and Lucille Carter-Harris have been recognized for their outstanding efforts in separate but equally important areas: the preservation of the environment and the support of youth programs.

The honorees have all tirelessly worked towards the betterment of Fallsburg’s environment, particularly in keeping the town clean and green.  Through their persistent efforts, they have set an example for others to follow.  They all have been instrumental in cleaning up the Town of Fallsburg.  Their commitment to creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable community has made a lasting impact on Fallsburg.  They have also been champions of Fallsburg’s youth programs, investing their time and energy to support and uplift the younger generation. Their dedication to the town’s youth has been unparalleled.

The Key to the Town is an esteemed symbol of recognition that is reserved for those who have truly made a difference.  The honorees embody the spirit of community service and have selflessly given their time and effort to create a brighter future for Fallsburg.  Their actions have inspired others to join in the collective efforts to foster a more vibrant and inclusive town.

The Key to the Town ceremony will take place on June 5, 2023, where Cookie Cross, Melinda Seymour, Maggie Sanford, Mary Adams, Felicite Katz and on June 12th Lionel White, and Lucille Carter-Harris will be presented with this distinguished honor.  The events will be open to the public, providing an opportunity for the entire community to join in celebrating these outstanding individuals.
