Hurley town clerk passes away

HURLEY – Hurley Town Clerk Judy Mayhon has died. She was 70 at the time of her passing on Friday, June 2, after an illness.

She was first elected town clerk in November 2007 and was re-elected every two years after that through November 2021. She previously served as deputy town clerk.

“Throughout her years in public service, she served the town and its residents with dedication,” said Town Supervisor Melinda McKnight.

Funeral arrangements are by the George J. Moylan Funeral Home, Route 32 in Rosendale.

The wake and funeral service are tentatively scheduled for Sunday, June 11.
