NEWBURGH – Police in the City of Newburgh have released the name of the man who was stabbed to death on May 28.
Jose Soto, 38, of the City of Newburgh was found near the 411 Lounge on Broadway early that morning. He had been stabbed and pronounced dead at the hospital.
On Thursday, June 1, city police announced the arrest of Eric McCollum on a murder charge.
City detectives were assisted by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
This was the fourth homicide in the City of Newburgh so far this year.
