Kingston man arrested on charges of criminal nuisance and drug possession

KINGSTON – A 51-year-old Kingston man has been arrested by Kingston City Police following the execution of a search warrant at his residence at 27 Shufeldt Street.

Police said Leo Spyhalsky was arrested following a month-long investigation by Kingston and Town of Ulster Police into narcotics sales.

He was charged with criminal nuisance, criminal possession of drugs and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Kingston City Court.

The investigation into narcotics activity in a residential area was part of the ongoing efforts of the partnership between the two police departments to address the concerns of residents for the welfare and safety of neighborhoods and community.

The police were assisted by the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office.

Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity or suspect a crime in progress is urged to notify the Kingston Police at 845-331-1671.
