Single-family home sales soften in Ulster County

KINGSTON – Sales of single-family homes in Ulster County so far this year have dipped 38-percent lower than the same four-month period in 2022, according to the Ulster County Board of Realtors.

A total of 298 homes sold from January through April of this year compared with 480 one year earlier.

The average selling price rose by 4.5 percent, going from $448,972 in the first four months of 2022 as compared with $469,101 during the same period this year.

Homes were also on the market for over nine percent longer than last year – 71 days this year, compared to 65 last year.

In April alone, home sales this year totaled 72, compared to 107 last year.

The average selling price rose by six percent, going from $382,000 in 2022 to $397,500 this year.
