YONKERS – Police in Yonkers are investigating a criminal mischief incident at Redmond Park that occurred over the Memorial Day weekend.
Trespassers apparently tore up Cook’s Field on ATVs and dirt bikes.
The park has been undergoing renovations for the last year as part of the city’s commitment to invest in green spaces for neighborhoods and this incident may further delay the reopening, police said.
Investigators are working to identify and apprehend the perpetrators who will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, they said.
