Man found floating in New Rochelle harbor

NEW ROCHELLE – Police in New Rochelle said a 62-year-old man died after being pulled from the water near the channel leading out from the New Rochelle Marina to the Long Island Sound.

The man, identified as Jose Sanabria of White Plains, was recovered from the water at 5:35 p.m. on Thursday, May 25. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, but no foul play is suspected pending results from the medical examiner’s office.
