Two-alarm fire rages in Town of Poughkeepsie

TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – Flames shot through the roof of a single-family home at 9 Susan Lane in the Town of Poughkeepsie on Thursday afternoon.

Much of one side of the building was consumed by flames.

A number of area fire departments assisted New Hamburg firefighters at the scene including Wappingers Falls, Arlington, Fishkill, and Hughsonville.

The cause was not immediately known nor were there reports of any injuries.
