WURTSBORO- Carmine Galeno, 13, of Wurtsboro is full of gratitude.  Carmine lives in the Autism spectrum and attends the Center for Discovery in Sullivan County.  He was personally on hand this weekend to thank everyone who came out at O’Toole’s Harley Davidson in Wurtsboro for his charity ride.

“We want to thank everyone for coming out, thank you for your love and support for Carmine, and everybody living on the spectrum.  It really means a lot to us,” said Laura Galeno, Carmine’s mother.

Andrew Galeno, Carmine’s father, explained how the event began and has grown over the past several years.  “It started out the first year with around 30 bikes, and then it took off.  Now this is solely a benefit for Carmine Galeno, our son, and it’s grown bigger and bigger.”

The bikers who attended enjoyed the day, and were glad to support the cause.  “We heard about the ride for Carmine, and we were able to participate today,” said Suzanne Fattorusso.  “We think it’s a great cause, something that is near and dear to our heart because we all have children in our family.  We want Carmine to thrive and succeed like everybody else, and have all of the opportunities.”

The family is already making plans for next year’s “Ride for Carmine.”
