LAKE KATRINE – Town of Ulster Police have arrested a Lake Katrine man on a murder charge in connection with the death of another local man.
Police were requested to conduct a welfare check in a residence on Main Street at around 3:40 p.m. on Thursday and when they got there, they found Anthony Roberts dead.
Investigation led to the arrest of Brian Roberts, 26, also of Lake Katrine. He was located walking on Neighborhood Road a short time later and taken into custody without incident.
Police did not say if the two men were related.
Brian Roberts was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
Ulster Police were assisted by the Ulster County District Attorney’s and Sheriff’s offices, Kingston Police, the Kingston/Ulster Emergency Services Unit and the Ruby Fire Department.
