POUGHKEEPSIE – Four-time felon Kevin Williams, 46, was arrested on felony drug charges Wednesday morning after City of Poughkeepsie police raided his Muldowney Circle apartment in Corlies Manor.  The City of Poughkeepsie Police Neighborhood Recovery Unit (NRU) executed a pre-dawn search warrant at his residence after an investigation into the sale of crack cocaine in the area.

Williams was found in possession of a substantial amount of crack cocaine, arrested, and charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.  Cash and other evidence were also seized during the raid.  He was processed at police headquarters, charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance  and held pending arraignment.

The NRU was assisted by the City of Poughkeepsie Emergency Services Unit and the Town of Poughkeepsie SWAT Team.

Williams has toured many New York State prisons during his criminal career, including spending more than two years in Fishkill Correctional for a drug conviction, two years in Gouverneur Correctional on a weapons conviction, five years in Oneida for a drug conviction, and more than a year at Willard after being convicted of selling drugs.
