GOSHEN – The Orange County Health Department Monday unveiled its newest tool in an effort to keep the public healthy.
A new mobile health unit will travel around the county offering services to residents where they live, said Health Commissioner Dr. Alicia Pointer.
“The bus can do anything that we can do in any of our health clinics, so we can give immunizations, we can do health screening, outreach, even some treatments, and we want to make sure we can go to where people are in the community,” she said.
The “Health Grows Here” van was funded with federal ARPA money.
