The Poster Contest celebrates the creative and artistic talent of Sullivan County students while promoting an important message of prevention.  The theme for this year’s poster contest:  “Life Can Be Anything You Make of It When Choosing to Be Alcohol, Tobacco, Gambling, and Drug Free!”

Awards will be presented in three grade categories:  Elementary (grades 1-4), Middle School (grades 5-8), and High School (grades 9-12).  A Grand Prize winner will be selected for both English and Spanish and the posters will be professionally printed and distributed throughout Sullivan County.

“Catholic Charities is excited to return to an in-person awards ceremony for this year’s Sullivan County Prevention Poster Contest,” said L.A. Branch, Sullivan County Prevention Projects Coordinator for Catholic Charities.  “Now in its 28th year, the poster contest allows students to explore positive alternatives to drugs, alcohol, gambling, and tobacco use through their artwork and self-expression.  I’m inspired by the creativity, thoughtfulness, and talent of our youth,” added Branch.
