Workers removed the Friendly name and installed the Healey brand on Thursday afternoon.

TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – Friendly Ford on South Road (Route 9) in the Town of Poughkeepsie is undergoing a change of ownership.  The dealership, commonly referred to as Poughkeepsie Ford, has been sold to the Healey Brothers auto group, owners of several auto dealerships in the Hudson Valley.  Workers were performing the cosmetic changes to the Poughkeepsie location on Thursday.

A worker at the dealership said Dwight and Paul Healey purchased the dealership with the intention of relocating their Ford dealership in Beacon to the new location and the official change will occur on Monday, April 3, 2023.

Healey Brothers has approximately 500 employees working across nine locations in Dutchess and Orange counties.

Friendly has been in the automobile business since opening Friendly Honda in 1973 in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
