911 Uniforms will be closing the Main Street store on May 31, 2023.

POUGHKEEPSIE – 911 Uniforms shop has been a fixture on Main Street for 28 years. Luis and Janet Juncosa have been providing the first responder and corrections communities with all their uniform needs, including tailoring and special requests.  After 28 years, the retired cop and his bride are closing the Main Street fixture but have arranged for a new team to continue the tradition of providing police and firefighters with great service; Tim Roberts and Paul Osterman of KOD Custom Apparel have agreed to take over 911 uniforms.

911 Uniforms has been a reliable source of uniforms and apparel for police and fire departments throughout the Hudson Valley since opening.

In a social media post geared toward current customers, Mrs. Juncosa endorsed the new owners, saying “I wanted to find someone who would continue supporting you with the same commitment.”

The current location at 300 Main Street will be closing on May 31, 2023, so that 911 Uniforms can transition to their new location at 973 Main Street in Fishkill.  Mrs. Juncosa also indicated that both she and Sue will work with the new owners to continue the commitment to first responders.  “Although change can be (and often is) challenging, we are certain that you will find Tim and Paul as committed to service,” and concluded by thanking the customers that she considers to be family for their loyalty.

State Senator Rob Rolison is a retired Town of Poughkeepsie Police Detective and has known Mr. and Mrs. Juncosa for decades.  “They have been an anchor on Main Street here in the City of Poughkeepsie and they will be missed.  In my time on the job, they were always there to keep us properly outfitted with the best uniforms and equipment.”
