POUGHKEEPSIE – Members of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force (DCDTF) executed a search warrant in Poughkeepsie on Tuesday night, taking several suspects into custody. The DCDTF was assisted at the scene by members of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and Mobile Life Support Services.
The raid at 47 Smith Street, between Harrison and Thompson Streets, occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. on March 21, 2023.
Task force members, with face coverings to conceal their identities, were observed bringing suspects out of the house and handing them off to deputies who then secured them and placed them in the prisoner transport van. At least six suspects were handcuffed and brought out to be photographed and searched before being placed in the van.
When the dwelling was secured, the task force members re-entered the house and began to conduct a thorough search of the premises at approximately 10:45 p.m.
Law enforcement officials declined to comment on the raid at the scene, indicating that information would be made available on Wednesday.
