Cornwall-on-Hudson mayor wins; Washingtonville mayor loses

MID-HUDSON – An upset in Washingtonville village elections on Tuesday as Mayor Joseph Bucco lost to challenger Tom DeVinko.

Unofficial results show DeVinko with 644 votes to Bucco’s 451.

In another closely watched race, incumbent James Gagliano defeated former mayor Brendan Coyne in a rematch for Cornwall-on-Hudson mayor.

Unofficial tallies show Gagliano with 613 votes to Coyne’s 282.
