VILLAGE OF LIBERTY – A 23-year-old Liberty man has been charged with rape and other crimes in connection with an attack on a woman in the Village of Liberty early Saturday morning, March 18.
A woman called police around 2 a.m. to report she was threatened with a knife and sexually assaulted at a residence.
Investigation led to the arrest of Brandon Dalto who was charged with rape, sexual abuse. Strangulation, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
Dalto was arraigned and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail, $150,000 bond or $300,000 partially secured bond.
