Police continue to investigate 20-year-old murder

TOWN OF WALLKILL – It was on March 15, 2003, that the body of 20-year-old Megan McDonald was found in a field off Bowser Road in the Town of Wallkill.

To this day, her killer has not been found, but State Police continue to actively investigate who killed the SUNY Orange student who also worked at the Galleria mall in Wallkill.

The cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma.

McDonald’s 1991 Mercury Sable was discovered two days later in the Kensington Manor apartment complex parking lot in Wallkill.

The New York City Detectives’ Endowment Association is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of Megan’s killer.

The FBI is also offering a separate $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the young woman’s killer.
