TOWN OF WALLKILL – Garnet Health has named Jonathan Schiller as president and CEO for the health system.
He comes back to Garnet Health after a year away serving as president and CEO of Oneida Health.
Prior to Joining Oneida, Schiller was CEO of Garnet Health Medical Center Catskills.
Jerry Dunlavey, who has been acting president of Garnet Health, returns to Garnet Health-Catskills where he will serve as chief executive officer.
Phillip Massengill, MD, Garnet Health board chairman, said Schiller has “outstanding leadership abilities in advancing Garnet Health’s growth and impact on the communities we serve.”
Dunlavey, who has nearly 25 years of healthcare leadership experience, joined Garnet Health in 2001, first serving as the system’s vice president of clinical program development and operations and working his way to chief operating officer at Garnet Health – Catskills.
“Jerry is a seasoned healthcare executive and a thoughtful and strategic leader,” said Dr. Massengill. “I am confident he will be a strong advocate for the community and a great CEO for the hospital.”
Schiller and Dunlavey will begin in their roles on June 1.
