TOWN OF ULSTER – A 45-year-old Saugerties woman has been remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail following her arrest on March 7.

Ulster Town Police said Laura Barclay allegedly took a Samsung TV valued at over $300 and passed all points of sale at Walmart on Frank Sottile Boulevard without making any attempt to purchase it.

When confronted by store security, she flashed what appeared to be a gold police badge. When questioned further, she left the TV and fled the area, only to be arrested at her home with assistance from Saugerties Police.

Barclay was charged with the felony of criminal impersonation and the misdemeanor of petit larceny.

She was remanded without bail due to prior felonies.
