Bullying needs to be addressed, says attorney.

GOSHEN – School districts in the region must address bullying of all forms head-on as instances appear to be increasing, civil rights attorney Michael Sussman says.  Along with other concerned residents, he has formed PARIS – People Against Racism in Schools.

He cited one case of teenage students in Carmel using artificial intelligence to target a middle school principal.

“Three young men, 14 years of age, children really, using AI methods, dubbed the voice and his photograph, and send along messages, videos, that were incredibly hateful, racist, provocative, violent, throughout the community, literally, on Tik Tok,” he said.

Sussman also pointed to the Middletown district where “we have a school board awkwardly grappling with an alleged racist Tik Tok post,” and in Liberty, “a young woman sexually assaulted on school grounds with minimal law enforcement.”
