Two Rockland County Jail inmates facing murder charges accused of having teen send them sexually explicit images

NEW CITY – Two men facing murder and other charges have been accused of enticing a child to send them digital images of herself engaging in sexually explicit activity.

Darin Peterson, 29, of West Haverstraw, and Anthony Mitchell, 23, of Haverstraw, were in the Rockland County Jail awaiting trial at the time, authorities allege.

The victim was 14 and 15 years old at the time of the crimes.

Following the men being charged, they were transferred into federal custody.

If convicted of the federal crime of production of child pornography, the men face from 15 to 30 years in prison.
