Pedestrian struck and killed by train in Ulster County

TOWN OF ULSTER – A 39-year-old Kingston man was killed Friday afternoon when he was struck by a CSX freight train in the Town of Ulster, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Authorities said the incident occurred around 3:40 p.m. in the area of Winsupply and Morton Boulevard.

The investigation is continuing into the cause of the accident.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of relatives.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Town of Ulster Police, State Police, Mobile Life Support Services, Ulster House Co. 5 and CSX.
