Fire damages Vails Gate apartments

VAILS GATE – Fire Sunday evening damaged the attic of an apartment complex at 108 Vails Gate Heights Drive in Vails Gate.

When New Windsor Police arrived on the scene, they found outside siding by the attic on fire.  The fire was knocked down by police, Vails Gate, and Washingtonville firefighters.

Central Hudson was called to cut power to the building.

There were no reports of injuries and the cause is under investigation.
