TOWN OF WAPPINGER – Congressman Pat Ryan (NY-18) recently met with the members of the Dutchess County Fire Chiefs Council.  The meeting was attended by chiefs from more than 35 Dutchess County fire departments and representatives from both Dutchess County Emergency Response and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.

Hughsonville Chief of the Department Paul Rogers Jr. hosted the February meeting where Congressman Ryan was briefed on issues facing the first responders.  Ryan thanked the attendees, saying “Thank you for your around-the-clock work protecting our families, friends, and neighbors here in Dutchess County.”

“Our first responders are on the frontlines of keeping our communities safe, and I’m focused on getting them the resources they need,” Ryan told Mid-Hudson News after the meeting. Ryan is a member of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus.

“We thank Congressman Ryan for visiting our fire station and we look forward to his partnership in the future,” said Chief of Department Paul Rogers, Jr.
