HAVERSTRAW – The northbound lanes of the Palisades Parkway were closed for most of the overnight hours after an SUV crashed just south of exit 14, killing one occupant and critically injuring another. The New York State Police are investigating the wreck.
A vehicle that appears to be an SUV was split into two sections as a result of the collision in the center median. The rear of the vehicle came to a rest near a tree. First responders covered that section of the vehicle with a blue tarp, indicating that a fatality had occurred.
