Ulster man killed in Town of Newburgh crash

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A 49-year-old Modena man was killed when the pickup truck in which he was riding struck a tree in the area of Rock Cut Road and Kings Hill Road on Sunday, Town of Newburgh Police said.

The victim, who was identified as Brian Fowler, was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla where he was pronounced dead.

The driver and another passenger were treated for their injuries at the scene.

Assisting at the scene of the 3:30 p.m. accident were Town of Newburgh Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Orange Lake Fire Department and Medivac.

The accident remains under investigation.
