TILLSON – A 28-year-old Kingston man has been charged with killing his 51-year-old father during a violent domestic incident on Friday afternoon.
Police responded to a residence on Springtown Road in Tillson where they found Ram Arceri of Rosendale. They performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
An investigation led to the arrest of his son, John Aceri, who was located by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies while he was walking on Route 32 near Grove Street.
He was charged with murder, arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by State Police, Town of Rosendale Police, the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, Mobile Life Support Service, Tillson Volunteer Fire Department and the Ulster County Office of Emergency Management.
Authorities did not disclose the cause of death or what precipitated the domestic incident.
