POUGHKEEPSIE – Executive editor and Mid-Hudson News founder Hank Gross and Publisher Mike Martucci celebrated the grand opening of the Mid-Hudson News bureau office in Poughkeepsie on Thursday with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

More than 100 people were in attendance for the event, the first step in the strategic expansion of Mid-Hudson News, which was announced earlier this year.

Several elected officials, business leaders, and community members attended the event, which was held at Mid-Hudson’s newsroom located on the third floor of 1 Civic Center Plaza in the City of Poughkeepsie.  Todd Bender oversees Mid-Hudson’s Poughkeepsie operation and has served as the lead reporter in the region for more than five years.

“Under the leadership of Mike Martucci, I have no doubt Mid-Hudson News will continue to grow and serve the region,” said Gross.

“I am excited to open a newsroom on the East side of the Hudson River,” said Martucci.  “This is only the beginning of our plans to expand and deliver even more reliable local news to the communities we serve.”
