POUGHKEEPSIE – City police in Poughkeepsie responded to the area of Active Beverage at 487 Main Street at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of a person who had been stabbed. Police located the victim who city firefighters triaged before being transported to a local hospital for additional treatment by ambulance.
Sources told Mid-Hudson News that several other police units located and arrested the suspected assailant just minutes later on Main Street, less than one block from the discount beer store where the stabbing allegedly occurred. One source told Mid-Hudson News that the suspect was taken into custody and transported to police department headquarters as part of the ongoing investigation.
