WHITE PLAINS – A North Carolina man  has been sentenced in Westchester County Court to 25 years in state prison for a 2018 armed home invasion in Yonkers.

At about 7:30 a.m. on April 23, 2018, Confessor Soto, 50, entered the back door of a residence armed with a .45 cal. semi-automatic handgun. He restrained the 82-year-old homeowner with zip-ties and demanded money from the homeowner’s 54-year-old daughter.

He fired a shot that grazed the top of the daughter’s head; she escaped creaming for held and a good Samaritan called the police.

Soto was captured on video surveillance fleeing the scene and police recovered the gun used along with his clothing, bandana and sunglasses nearby.

He was apprehended in Fayetteville, North Carolina in April 2019 by the FBI.
