KINGSTON – A plan to construct “tiny homes” in the City of Kingston is working its way through the building approval process, Mayor Steven Noble says.

The initial plan would see four of those residences constructed, said the mayor.

“We are going through the designs with our building department to see if we can figure out how to make it work. It is not easy to builds tiny homes right now with the state’s building codes, but we are trying to make it work and we are looking forward to hopefully to getting more of that type of housing in Kingston,” he said.

The initial plan would build those homes in the Midtown area of the city.
