MAHOPAC – A 24-year-old Mahopac man has been charged with attempted murder and other charges for allegedly stabbing another man while inside the Cloud House Smoke Shop at 898 Route 6 in Mahopac.
The incident, investigated by Carmel Police, occurred around 10 p.m. on Monday.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 22-year-old man outside the business bleeding profusely from what appeared to be two stab wounds.
Police identified the suspect as Anas Mousa, who was taken into custody without incident.
The incident had apparently taken place inside the business with the victim sustained stab wounds to the chest and back.
He was transported to Danbury Hospital in critical, but stable conditions.
Mousa was charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
