BLAUVELT- It’s another battle of the Mid-Hudson titans as the Orange County Fair Speedway and the Palisades Autobahn Indoor Speedway, Thursday, will hold a charitable race at the Palisades Center mall in West Nyack to support children with serious medical challenges.

Proceeds from the event will go to the not-for-profit Penguin Plunge of Nyack.

Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus and Sheriff Paul Arteta will take on Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Sheriff Lou Falco in the feature race.

Several Orange County Fair Speedway drivers will also participate, led by speedway driver Brett Hearn.

An after-race celebration will take place after the event.

Last year, $10,000 was raised at the Autobahn, and event organizer Peter Reynolds expects this year will be an even greater success. “Our goal is to raise $12,000 at this event to benefit the children of the Penguin Plunge,” said Reynolds.

Opening ceremonies will start at 7 p.m. To learn more, purchase
