HARRIMAN – IBEW Local 363 journeyman electrician Hunter Doran has been named the State champion of the 2022 Ideal Tools Electrical Skills Competition.  The journeyman electrician received his training through the union’s apprentice program.

Doran works for Anytime Electric in Rock Tavern and competed against other electricians in timed events that tested their ability to plan and properly execute complex electrical installations, according to IBEW Local 363 Business Manager Sam Fratto.

Doran’s work in the competition was completed in approximately half of the time of other competitors at the contest held on Long Island.

Doran credited the “excellent training I received as an IBEW Local 363 electrician and through the Local 363 apprentice program.”

Fratto was pleased with his electrician earning the state championship title. “We are so proud that Hunter Doran could display what an IBEW Local 363 trained electrician can do with the education and knowledge they gain from our union and apprenticeship.”
