MONTGOMERY – In just a matter of days, everyone’s favorite season of the year will be here – Girl Scout Cookie time.

It begins in the Hudson Valley on Friday, February 10 as the world’s largest entrepreneurial program for girls, according to Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson  Valley, Inc.

Every box of cookies sold provides what the organization says are invaluable experiences for Girl Scouts such as service projects, troop travel, and summer camp for girls across the country.

Scouts will sell and take orders in person, and can receive cookie orders via Digital Cookie®, to personally deliver cookies to their local customers.

“The Girl Scout Cookie Program is a time honored tradition that provides our Girl Scouts with the opportunity to get out into their communities and demonstrate what they’ve learned through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, particularly in the life skills and entrepreneurial pillars,” said Helen Wronski, interim CEO of the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson. “The skills practiced and honed through this program will benefit the Girl Scouts throughout the rest of their lives in academic and professional pursuits. The delicious cookies are an added bonus!”

Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson serves over 22,000 members throughout its seven-county area of Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester.
