NEW ROCHELLE – Three New Jersey men are under arrest in New Rochelle and a fourth escaped capture on Thursday afternoon after a police chase from Greenwich, CT to New Rochelle.
When the four got into New Rochelle, they abandoned the car, but two suspects were apprehended with one possessing a loaded Glock handgun with an extended holding 29 rounds. A third suspect was later caught, but the fourth escaped capture.
One was wanted out of New Jersey for an armed carjacking.
Arrested were Justin McKinney, 18, of Kearney, Frank Clark, 20, and Eliezer Velez, 19, both of Newark.
They were call charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of criminal possession of stolen property.
McKinny was also charged as a fugitive from justice for being wanted in New Jersey for an armed carjacking.
The investigation into the incident is continuing.
