Man killed when his snowplow truck hits box trailer and catches fire

COXSACKIE – A 50-year-old man was killed early Monday morning while he was plowing snow at the Essendant Distribution Center on Route 9W in Coxsackie.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office said the truck, driven by Lamont Jackson of Catskill collided with a stationary box trailer and caught fire.

Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
