State municipal zero-emissions rebate program adds vehicles to fleets

ALBANY – Three Mid-Hudson municipalities and one county will receive state funding to purchase or lease zero-emission light- and medium-duty fleet vehicles through the State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Zero-Emission Vehicle Rebate Program.

The vehicles will help the New York achieve the greenhouse gas emission reduction directives of the state’s climate law, the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.

Ulster County Government will receive $22,500 toward three battery electric vehicles.

The Village of Buchanan will receive $7,500 toward the purchase of one battery electric vehicle.

The Village of Hastings-on-Hudson will receive $15,000 toward two battery electric vehicles.

The Village of Ossining will receive $5,000 toward one battery electric vehicle.
