NEW ROCHELLE – Police are looking for a young man believed to have tried to hold up a clerk at the Subway/Carvel store at 642 North Avenue in New Rochelle in the evening of Sunday, December 4 while armed with what looked like a realistic handgun.
It was actually a BB gun and when the clerk refused the man’s demand for money, he shot her three times in the torso before fleeing.
She sustained minor injuries.
