WHITE PLAINS – A 28-year-old White Plains man has been sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison for the 2020 murder of another man.

Westchester District Attorney Miriam Rocah said Brandon Williams, 28, was found guilty by a jury on October 14 after a five-week trial for killing Deron Strange, 35, before midnight on May 27, 2020.

Williams shot Strange several times with a semi-automatic handgun as he chased him around the parking lot of the victim’s residence on Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. Boulevard in White Plains.

Williams fired five shots, two of which struck Strange, killing him.

White Plains Police arrested Williams at a hotel in Harrison on May 29, 2020 following an investigation with assistance from the FBI’s Westchester Safe Streets Task Force.
