Fourteen members of Newburgh gang charged with racketeering, narcotics and firearms offenses

WHITE PLAINS – A second Newburgh street gang has been busted by federal and state authorities in less than a week as 14 members and associates of the Double Nine Grim Reapers Bloods Gang were charged in an unsealed 15-count indictment on charges of racketeering, narcotics and firearms offenses.

The indictment charges several Grimz members and associates, including Jeremy Williams, also known as “Dubs,” and Randy Jones, also known as “Nicklez,” two co-founders of the Grimz, with participating in a racketeering conspiracy. The federal indictment also charges several Grimz members and associates with acts of violence including attempted murder and assault of a rival gang members in connection with a shooting that sent the rival gang member to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Other charges against members included an armed robbery of a drug dealer in which shots were fired and an individual was hit.

The gang was also responsible for trafficking large amounts of narcotics across the City of Newburgh, New York and New York State.

Charged in the 15-count indictment are Jeremy Williams, Randy Jones, Justice Jackson, Tyrell Simon, Thomas Rodriguez, Marcus Cardona, Markell Williams, James White, Paul Ayala, Messiah Jackson, Octavious Griffin, Joshua Hendricks, Elijah Briggs, Shamell Williams.
