HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Republican East Fishkill Town Supervisor Nick D’Alessandro continues to assess his options for a Dutchess County executive run next year.

He had previously hinted that he plans to run for the post in November.  D’Alessandro has been an elected official since 2011.

When asked if he was going to run for the county position, the supervisor said, “I am keeping my options open.”

On Sunday, D’Alessandro sent out an email highlighting his new webpage and video, which mimics a campaign commercial.

D’Alessandro was first elected to the East Fishkill town board in 2011 and was elected supervisor in 2017.  In the new video, D’Alessandro claims that he “Brought in over $600 million in new development and added over 2,000 jobs to the local economy in five years.”

After losing her re-election bid earlier this month, Republican State Senator Sue Serino is being urged to run for Dutchess County Executive by county officials including Dutchess County Clerk Brad Kendall and Dutchess County Legislature Chairman Gregg Pulver.  Pulver had expressed interest in running for the county’s top post but said he would withdraw and support Serino, should she decide to run.
