POUGHKEEPSIE – A 25-year-old man was hospitalized Friday night after suffering serious stab wounds to his face. The incident occurred at 22 Montgomery Street in Poughkeepsie at approximately 8:08 p.m.
City of Poughkeepsie firefighters were first to arrive and immediately requested a Mobile Life ambulance to expedite their response to the scene due to the amount of blood loss from the victim. A firefighter, via 911 radio transmission, reported that the victim was bleeding heavily and need immediate transport to a hospital.
Within minutes, Mobile Life personnel arrived and transported the man to Vassar Brothers Medical Center for additional treatment.
Uniformed officers set the boundaries of the crime scene that included blood splatter in front of the building, on the foyer doors, and a substantial pool of blood near the elevator doors in the lobby.
