Police Commissioner Jose Gomerez

NEWBURGH – Police Commissioner Jose Gomerez is calling on the residents of the City of Newburgh to assist his department in solving crimes.

Often times police can make arrests with information provided by a member of the public, and the commissioner would like more of that input.

“Please, for all other cases that we have open, if you have any information, please collaborate with us. We can bring safety to our city with the collaboration of the community. You have the firsthand information. We need your assistance and together we can finally bring public safety to our city,” he said.

Newburgh continues to be plagued by gun violence and the commissioner would like the community to be its eyes and ears to help the police department fight crime.
