WOODBURY – State Police have charged a Suffern man with felony driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle following a one-car crash on the Thruway in the Town of Woodbury.
Troopers said a car driven by Matthew Moskowitz, 26, was traveling southbound in the right lane when he left the lane and struck a concrete barrier on the shoulder, becoming disabled.
He was found to be intoxicated while driving with a 12-year-old child. Neither was injured.
Moskowitz’s blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.11 percent. He was turned over to a sober third party and issued an appearance ticket to town court.
The child was turned over to a responsible party following the 10:45 p.m. incident on November 18.
