President John F, Kennedy

It was 59 years ago today – November 22, 1963 – when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas.

The 35th president of the United States was 46 years old when a bullet fired by Lee Harvey Oswald took his life.

For those who are old enough to remember the end of what many said was “Camelot,” Kennedy’s assassination was a moment in your life you will never forget, just like the generation before when Pearl Harbor was attacked, or this generation when terrorists brought down the World Trade Center in New York, attacked the Pentagon and highjacked a plane that crashed in a Pennsylvania field.

Kennedy served from 1961 to 1963 when he was killed near the end of his third year in the White House.
